I enjoyed Crooked Creek Farm. It was a simple read written in a style of sincerity that few can duplicate! Funny moments too!!
This book was extremely entertaining. I laughed out loud more than once while reading this as it made me recall some of the events in my life that have the same type of memories. I recommend this book both for its witty writing and the anecdotal humor it contains.
A delightful, nostalgic look at the days of our youth told with witticism and humor. Each chapter left me wanting to read more. This is a great family story in a time when the joys of the simple life have been forgotten. I hope to hear more from this author.
I don't know who will appreciate this more, rural folks who can't imagine how city folks can be so humorously ignorant, or city folks who will chuckle and say to themselves, "I'm glad I'm not as dumb as THOSE city slickers.

It's a delightful series of well-written anecdotes that ends too suddenly and too soon.
Being an old Iowa country boy, I found it to be a fun read. Not heavy or inspirational but enjoyable.
This book takes you away from your typical day - and makes you appreciate how nice you have it now. The book is a very good set of stories that can be taken separately or together.

The author gives enough details so your imagination can fill in the rest instead of going into too much detail to set up the folly. It is light-hearted, not deprecating. It seems it may be from a simpler time or the "good old days" but still possible today - and that makes it more engaging for the reader.
